The conception and creation of Exhibit C-UNTitled serve as documentation of an ongoing exploration into the artists perception of the world (within the context of contemporary feminism) and simultaneously an act of artistic and political rebellion.
Using the nude as a vehicle to convey personal insights as well as investigate form, this photographic series presents the female form in a manner which challenges the aesthetic values and ideals in relation to the body and highlighting the complex dynamics between observer and observed. Attempting to deconstruct essentialist or binarist concepts of gender and sex by propounding perspicacious ways of challenging and negating stereotypical representations the female form and identity.
